CSI Celestial Ball 2016 Honorees
STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE -- The College of Staten Island Foundation's Celestial Ball recognized Staten Island's "stars" at their seventh annual event staged in the Richmond County Country Club in Dongan Hills on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016
The elegant event features dinner, dancing and a silent auction. Each year, the ball raises funds for the college's greatest needs while recognizing members of the community who have made significant contributions to the college and the community, according to Dr. William J. Fritz, president of the College of Staten Island (CSI).
Fritz noted that this year's ball had special meaning, as it also celebrates the College of Staten Island's 60th anniversary as the "only institution of public higher education in our borough."
