Dolphin Award for Outstanding Service and Contribution to the College by a Member of the Part-Time, Non-Teaching Staff:
Anita Romano, Program Coordinator for the Macaulay Honors College.
You joined the College community ten years ago. In your capacity as Macaulay Program Coordinator, you are responsible for a wide variety of important tasks, such as organizing recruitment events and preparing for student orientation; creating the content of the MHC Website; being an integral part of the student selection process; planning Macaulay’s first, and very successful alumni event; and more. You have also shown your strong dedication to Macaulay, assuming the responsibilities of fellow co-workers who are on leave, often working extra hours and rearranging your schedule to ensure that all necessary work is completed. You also have a real commitment to Macaulay’s students, diligently researching available internships to pair the right student with the right position, giving students the necessary push to get them to complete their applications on time, and creating the Kudos board to sing their praises.
Your professionalism and commitment to Macaulay students and your fellow coworkers inspire us all.
