Jean Coombs, CUNY Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration.
You began your tenure at the College of Staten Island in 1997 in the Office of Instructional Support Services, working your way up to your current position as lead Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration in 2002. Throughout your time at CSI, you have earned a reputation as a consummate professional who is knowledgeable about all phases and services of the College. Beyond your exceptional prowess in the office, you serve our students as an instructor in the Office of Continuing Education, teaching computer skills to people who are looking to become more marketable in an increasingly competitive job market. Your service doesn’t stop there, as you eagerly volunteer to assist with many campus events. Last but not least, although you have many responsibilities and wear a number of hats, you do it all with a charm and grace that makes your colleagues and students happy to have had the chance to work with you.
Your dedication and humanity provide a shining example to the entire College community.
