Shah Jayman, Adjunct Faculty, Department of Political Science, Economics, and Philosophy.
You joined the Political Science, Economics, and Philosophy faculty at the College of Staten Island as an adjunct lecturer in 2004. You received your Bachelor of Technology degree in Engineering from the College of Technology and Engineering in Sri Lanka. You have been described by the Chair of your department as “trustworthy, dependable, cooperative, caring, and always willing to go above and beyond.” You are eager pitch in to take on the class sections of colleagues who are unable to finish the semester due to illness, and your glowing teacher recommendations are a testimony to your love of the classroom and the respect and appreciation that your students have for you. That deep connection with your students comes from your commitment to them, as you are always available for advisement, using your incredible talent for providing positive feedback as a way to encourage them to do their very best.
You exemplify CSI’s ideal of an academic and teacher who shines in his field and advances the noble cause of knowledge.
