Outstanding Service and Contribution to the College by a Member of the Non-Instructional Staff in Maintenance, Operations, Security, and Support Function: Lucy Tirado, Custodial Assistant, Office of Buildings and Grounds
You have been with the College for 22 years, and during that time, you have displayed a dedicated approach to your job where no task is too small and no project is too large. Currently, you maintain Building 1A, which comes with a lot of responsibility. You take great pride in keeping the building clean and presentable. You also take the extra time to determine if special events will be held to ensure that conference rooms are in excellent condition for visitors. Your duties aren’t confined to the interior of Building 1A; you also maintain the outside of the building, often working in the cold winter weather to shovel and salt the sidewalks before our day begins. Although you are responsible for so much, you are a warm, friendly person who brightens the day of everyone you encounter.
Today, we salute your determined commitment to our College and helping maintain our pride.
