Outstanding Service and Contribution to the College by a Member of the Non-Instructional Staff in CLT and OIT Specialists Title: Gabriel Cynowicz, IT Senior Associate, Office Automation and User Services
You came to the College in 1999 as a College Assistant at the HelpDesk for the Office of Technology Systems. Your technical prowess, pleasant personality, and efficiency in closing tickets, as well as your “can do” attitude and ability to adapt quickly, bolstered your reputation as a valued member of the team. In your current role, you continue that professionalism as you have been instrumental in a number of technologically advanced projects, such as the establishment of a virtual environment for converting many physical servers and computers into virtual ones, saving the College a significant amount of money; setting up and maintaining the College’s Microsoft email system; and maintaining the College’s Active Directory, which allows members of the College community to log in to their computers and access a wide variety of computer resources. Many of these systems are critical; if they go offline, business at the College would grind to a halt. Although you bear a large amount of responsibility, you never complain or expect praise, and you are happy to work behind the scenes.
Your years of diligent hard work and service have been a great benefit to this College, and its students, faculty, and staff.
