Sandra Sanchez, Executive Assistant to the President.
You came to Richmond College as a Gittleson in 1970. You are also a CSI alumna, having earned your BA and MA from the College. During your long and distinguished career at Richmond, Staten Island Community College, and, eventually CSI, where you have served in your current capacity since 1996, you have worked in a number of positions, including adjunct lecturer in English, giving you the experience and expertise to provide exceptional service to the Office of the President. You have also witnessed trends in technology come and go, adjusting with agility at every turn. However, one of your strong points is your modesty and humility. Whether you work late hours, often bringing work home; serve on important College committees; dedicate your time as a board member of Amethyst House for women recovering from alcoholism and substance abuse; or receive awards, such as the Business and Professional Women Award for Distinction, you take it all in your stride and you continue to serve your College and community with a selfless and cheerful attitude that makes you a pleasure to know.
Your devotion to the College and Staten Island communities is an inspiration to us all.
