Today, we honor with the Dolphin Award for Outstanding Service and Contribution to the College by a Currently Enrolled Student:
You are what is called a non-traditional student, deciding to fulfill a lifelong dream of earning a college degree after you retired from the corporate world. However, you have not only earned a degree with an impressive GPA of 3.5, you have made a difference here. You have served the students of this College in numerous capacities, including Campus Center Commissioner, where you worked to make the facility more student-friendly; Academic and Curricular Affairs Commissioner, where you began the successful Academic Scholarship Awards; and as a member of the Student Government Political Action Committee, The CSI Auxiliary Services Corporation, and the College’s Technology Fee Committee. If that wasn’t enough to keep you busy, you have also worked to improve the bus shelters on campus, served as a mentor in Student Government, and even founded the CSI Chess Club.
We expect you to continue to shape the future of our world, as you have shaped the future of CSI, improving the lives of its citizens.
