As a researcher, you have published a seminal article on nanoporous carbon, which has been cited almost 700 times, resulting in your recent inclusion in Thomson Reuters’s list of the Top 100 Chemists, 2000-2010. You have also continued to receive external funding from the National Science Foundation, the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund, and others, as well as internal CUNY grants. In your role as an instructor, you hold a record of teaching seven different courses at CSI and you have taken on a significant role in promoting undergraduate research in chemistry.
You exemplify CSI’s ideal of an academic and teacher who shines in the field and advances the noble cause of knowledge.
