Dolphin Awards 2014
Dolphin Award for Outstanding Service and Contribution to the College by a Member of the Non-Instructional Staff in Maintenance, Operations, Security, and Support Function: MaryJeanne Hennessey, Director, Parking & DolphinCard Services
You have been with the College since 2001, when you began as an Administrative Assistant for the CSI Auxiliary Services Corporation in the Office of Parking Services, becoming Director in 2002. During your tenure, many members of the College community have been positively affected by the innovations for which you have been responsible. On the parking side of your role, you have overseen the upgrade of the Parking Services Database and the implementation of the new interface with hand-held ticketing devices that have improved productivity and accuracy, while reducing costs. You have also been a part of the implementation of the online program for ticket payment. Once the issuance of student, faculty, and staff ID cards was transferred from Public Safety to your current office, you employed your ability to adapt quickly and multitask, resulting in the successful launch of the new DolphinCard, which serves a number of critical functions for members of the College community, from allowing access to parking lots and other areas of the campus to functioning as a debit card. This latter aspect of the DolphinCard has enabled the College to introduce a tax-exempt meal plan for our students, which translates into significant savings for participants. Beyond all of these projects and responsibilities, you have also found the time to serve as an active member of numerous College committees.
Today, we salute your determined commitment to keeping our campus running smoothly and efficiently.
