A Classroom with a View: CSI Students Ascend Mt. Vesuvius
Although the city of Pompei and the region around Mount Vesuvius were destroyed in that volcano's fiery eruption in 79 AD, interest in the event's history is still as alive as the volcano itself.
Last summer, CSI professor Anderson Ohan took a group of 12 students to the Gulf of Naples region to see the volcano and the surrounding area first-hand, and gain some college credit in the process. It was so successful that he plans to take another group next summer. Photos by Matthew Miner.
